Description of Cookies

Cookie files are computer data and, in particular, text files sent by the server and stored on the user’s end device (usually the hard drive of a computer or mobile device). These files process information that the website may need in order to adapt to the way the user uses the website and to collect statistical information about the use of the website. “Cookies are completely “passive” files – they do not contain software programs, viruses or spyware, and do not access information from the user’s hardware.

Use of cookies?

“Cookies are contained in the HTTP protocol used to connect the web server to the browser. Each such file consists of a key defining the name of the values, the values and the life cycle after which the browser must remove the cookie. “Cookies are used to tailor web content to the user’s preferences and to increase the usability and personalisation of website content.

Typical examples of the importance of the use of cookies are the collection of data on online privacy preferences, the creation of content and services tailored to specific user preferences, tailored access to user interests, remembering passwords, remembering child protection filters on web content, measuring, optimising and adapting analytics features to improve services for the benefit of users.

Types of cookie files

There are two standard types of cookie files – session and persistent. The former are temporary files that remain on the user’s device until they exit the website or turn off the software (web browser). “Persistent” files remain on the user’s device for the time specified in the cookie file parameters or until they are manually deleted by the user.

Privacy and Cookie Policy

When a user uses the website Administrator uses cookies to identify the browser or user device. “Cookies collect various types of information that do not, in principle, constitute personal data (they do not identify the user). It is possible that some data, depending on its content and use, may be associated with a particular person and be considered personal data. All such personal data is also subject to the Privacy Policy available on the Controller’s website, under the section “Privacy Policy”.

Through the use of cookie technology, the Administrator may collect information about the preferences of users of the website (for example – number of visits to the website, information viewed, etc.). By analysing users’ online behaviour, the Administrator can better understand users’ preferences, interests and expectations and adapt the website to their needs and interests. In this way, through the use of cookies, the Administrator will be able to offer each visitor to the website a personalized service, entirely tailored to the personal preferences of that visitor.

Access to information about users’ Internet activity through the use of cookies will also help the Administrator to conduct anonymous statistical analyses that exclude the identification of the user’s identity.

The information collected and stored in cookies can be stored after the browser session has been deleted, allowing it to be used, for example, on subsequent visits by the user.

Based on cookies, the Administrator may use technology that allows it to reach users who have previously visited the website by addressing content to them through other websites they visit. The Administrator may do this again in order to better serve each website visitor, according to their personal interests and to facilitate the user’s use of the various sites.

Cookie files and identical third party technologies

“The cookies used by the Administrator are primarily aimed at optimising the service to users when they use the website. In addition, as a result of using the website, the browser or other software installed on the user’s device may intercept cookies from third parties. The third parties to whom the Controller provides personal data or who may gain access to the user’s personal data as a result of the user’s access to and use of the website are specified in the Privacy Policy available on the website.

Links to other sites or embedded content from other sites, for example – Google and other online platforms, are also available on the website. It is possible that cookies from these websites may be stored on your terminal device when you visit these websites or open content from them. These cookies constitute third party cookies and the Administrator has no control over their generation and management. You can find information about them and how they are managed on the websites of the third parties concerned.
