Dr. Mirjana Sechanova

Introduction

After her graduation in 2007, Dr. Sechanova worked at the Second Surgical Department of
Adjibadem City Clinic Tokuda Hospital Sofia. From 2014 to 2021 she practiced in the Surgical Department of SofiaMed University Hospital under the supervision of Dr. Sergey Sergeev. There he also acquired his specialty in surgery in 2017. From 2021 to 2024 he worked at Nadezhda Hospital, and from 2024 he rejoined the team of SofiaMed Medical Center and SofiaMed University Hospital. Currently, she is also part of the team of specialists of the Hemus Medical Center.

She graduated from the Medical University of Sofia in 2007 and obtained her specialty in Surgery in 2017.

Dr. Mirjana Sechanova is a specialist surgeon in Sofia with over 18 years of medical experience. Her main activities are related to diagnosis, surgical treatment and follow-up of benign and malignant diseases of the mammary gland:

    • Prophylactic clinical breast examinations;

    • Biopsy of lesions in the breast;

    • Aspiration biopsy of mammary gland cysts;

    • Biopsy of lymph nodes;

    • Placement of markers in breast tumors;

    • Operational Procedures;

    • Axillary dissection;

    • Organ-sparing breast surgeries;

    • Mastectomy;

    • Operations for various benign and borderline findings (intraductal papillomas);

    • Developing a treatment plan and approach for patients with breast cancer.

She has expertise and interest in the treatment and removal of benign and malignant skin growths, surgical treatment of pilar cysts in the caudal region and lymph node biopsy.
Dr. Sechanova does not examine children.
